Cast bronze sculpture

First Memorial morphs the form of an an animal skull into the carcas of dead bird. The result is abstract, with female and male forms equally salient. It describes the weight of the cycle of life and death, that is so evident in the countryside and rural communities - and which I knew as a child - but which had faded by years in the city.
Like a child again, I felt grief over roadkill. And grief is a burden.
